  • Comment: Raymond is notable; L’Art islamique en Orient can sell for thousands. The issue is you are using primary sources like personal letters rather than secondary sources such as books by reputable publishers or scholarly journals, etc. and much of the content is unsourced, In addition the sources need to be independent, meaning unaffiliated with him and have no interest in promoting him/his work. For example the Christie's auction I linked above is a poor source as they have a financial interest so one I would not use but it did give me a hint. However, a newspaper article about the sell price of his work is generally a good source (I looked but did not find anything). I found a book review which I added (see footnote 3) and is type of source needed. There is more available via Google Books so suggest starting there. JSTOR, if you have access, is likely another place to search. The article should summarize what those sources have written about Raymond and his work. S0091 (talk) 17:46, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
  • Comment: Letters from private collections are NOT reliable independent sources and cannot be used. Theroadislong (talk) 17:14, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
  • Comment: Most of the sources appear to be primary. Please also see this guide for adding citations. S0091 (talk) 17:20, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
