Major overhaul! Suggestion

6 arches
"The aortic arches start as five pairs of symmetrical arteries connecting the heart with the dorsal aorta, and then undergo a significant remodelling[11]" The sentence is misleading to context of other articles. It is consistent with embryology there are 6 aortic arches the fifth either never develops or regresses. The 6th arch derives the pulmonary after. First two head and neck, etc. Long time from editing. GetAgrippa

Opening sentence seems implausible:
