Infobox 'Regions with significant populations'

At the top of the article is an infobox titled Regions with significant populations. The first point I would say is that what is listed under the heading is countries not regions, second it seems weird that the list does not include any of North Africa and little of the Middle East - I mean if it is meant to be a countries list then Saudi Arabia etc. are going to be at the top. I think what's meant to be implied is significant populations outside of countries where they basically are the population, or at least the large majority of it. Largoplazo (talk) 21:34, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
I suspect you are right. Either way I think that particular section needs to be revised. Firestar47 (talk) 22:11, 4 December 2025 (UTC)

Panethnic group works better (see Panethnicity)

Arabs are a truly diverse large group split into many countries cultures dialects origins etc. Based on all the facts describing them as a pan-ethnic group in the first sentence is in my opinion much more accurate as it represents their diversity whereas ethnic group implies they are all racially and culturally one unit like the English, Koreans, Turks. The easiest proof of this is the ethnic, tribal, dialect and culture differences between a Sudanese vs a Syrian, an Iraqi vs a Moroccan, a Saudi vs a Lebanese. The real main factors that unites all Arabs is the language and Arab identity. See Panethnicity for more explanation.

Here are sources proving what I am saying:

In the ‘Antiquity’ section, change “Sabaean was a South Arabian languaged” to “Sabaean was a South Arabian language” (remove ‘d’ at the end of ‘language’). ~2026-61053-5 (talk) 10:41, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

Arabs should be ethnolinguistic

For example, Sudanese and Moroccans and Saudis are very distinctive but with the same language so it's basically ethnolingustic ThatMister144 (talk) 14:41, 22 February 2026 (UTC)

Even the picture of Hager, an Abyssinia, is Europeanized?

Hager, of Northeast Africa, the mother of Ismail, who is rarely referred to as the grand-mother of Arabs is depicted as a woman of European phenotype in this article. Similar to the distortions of Prophet Isa (Jesus) and his mother Marium, we are lead to believe that all religious figures were Europeans when in fact none of them were Europeans. White supremacy is so deeply rooted into modern versions of every religious explains why they are so devoid of spirituality. Trump is a modern example of the European's obsessions with claiming and white washing everything, even Allah (GOD). Please, put up a photo of a woman whose appearance is similar to an north east African woman or better don't put up a picture at all. ~2026-13454-57 (talk) 12:36, 2 March 2026 (UTC)

While I don't necessarily agree with everything in this comment, it is true that the painting shows Hager with a European face and that the image is misleading. I'm removing it, feel free to find one more realistic. Zerotalk 05:03, 3 March 2026 (UTC)

Suggestion for inclusion

Hi, I would like to suggest adding more material on the historical Arab footprint. The page could include sections or expanded coverage on Arabs in Sicily, al-Andalus, the Maghreb, the Banu Hilal migration/invasion, Arab presence in South Asia, and Arab influence in East Africa. It may also be useful to include pre-Islamic Arab dynasties such as the Abgarids of Osroene, which represent an early documented Arab political presence before Islam. --TruthRevealedMan (talk) 00:04, 9 March 2026 (UTC)

If you have sources for such material, you're welcome to attempt these additions. Cordless Larry (talk) 17:12, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
