Production and cancellation
The current edit of the article asserts that "The Navy eventually contracted for at least 160 production aircraft... Bureau Numbers were assigned for a total of 234." Joe Baugher lists 118 bureau numbers assigned, consisting of 3 prototypes, 1 static test article, and 50 production aircraft (129154–129168 and 129843–129877). Swanborough and Bowers' excellent United States Navy Aircraft since 1911 agrees with Baugher. Where did the 160/234 figures come from? Carguychris (talk) 14:51, 22 October 2025 (UTC)
