Orphaned references in Collodictyonidae
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Collodictyonidae's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 19:45, 4 March 2020 (UTC)

Collodictyonidae → Diphylleidae – "Collodictyonidae" is invalid, Diphylleidae is the valid and formal name under the taxonomic codes. See Cavalier-Smith, 2022. We should use this name since we are preferring Sar over SAR, since Sar is the formal name. Jako96 (talk) 13:39, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
- Support Although, "Collodictyonidae" gets 114 Google Scholar hits while "Diphylleidae" gets only 6. I do find several sources using "Diphylleidae" e.g. Galindo et al 2024 and hits for "Collodictyonidae" tend to be older or only hits in reference names. Zhao et al. 2012 note: "Collodictyon was originally proposed to be closely related to Diphylleia and Sulcomonas and classified in the family Diphylleidae (Cavalier-Smith 1993; the synonymous family Collodictyonidae in Brugerolle et al. 2002) and subphylum Diphyllatia (Cavalier-Smith 2003)."
