High school
I just undid an unsourced claim from Lakeside High School (DeKalb County, Georgia) that Glover was an alumnus. It's not mentioned in this article, I was unable to verify it, and the editor who added, user:Axell2fye, simply based it on having been told so by a faculty member . Without a reliable published source this is unsourced WP:OR
What this article does say is that he attended Avondale High School (DeKalb County, Georgia); however, that claim has never been sourced since it was added by an IP in 2018 . There are sources out there that agree, but this may be WP:citogenesis. Our cited source from 2016 https://web.archive.org/web/20160830163346/http://www.clatl.com/culture/article/20831904/donald-glovers-real-rap-on-atlanta actually quotes Glover saying he attended Stephenson High School. I'll dig into this and see if I can find anything from before December 3, 2018 that claims he attended Avondale. Meters (talk) 01:10, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
- I have found zero reliable sources that mention Avondale High School. There are many less than stellar refs that do mention Avondale, but they are almost all obvious copies of Wikipedia (many actually verbatim copies). I'm removing this claim and replacing it with Stephenson High School per our citation. Please do not restore the Avondale claim without a solid ref that cannot be citogenesis. Beastie Boys film cameo
A close up of Donald Glover (before he was famous) in the crowd appears in the concert film Awesome, I Fuckin' Shot That by the Beastie Boys. This made the main section of the article for the film itself, should it be perhaps counted as a cameo in his filmography? 205.155.236.114 (talk) 20:04, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
