15 000 units sold : Myth or Fact?
The retro gamer that is used as a source has a section at the beginning of the article stating some "instant expert" facts.
I quote verbatim "The GX4000 tried to build on the success of the 2.5 million-selller CPC range... but only 15,000 consoles were ever sold.".
None of the people interviewed in the article nor anywhere else I can find on the internet (that doesn't use Wikipedia or Retro Gamer as it's source) has that 15,000 units sold number.
For a console launched in (Europe) 1990 with a marketing campaign of £20 million, I'm unsure if this is correct, either the units sold are higher or the marketing campaign must have been lower, as this is possibly the worst selling video game console (by a major manufacturer) ever; if it is then surely that fact would make this article more relevant in the grand scheme of things.
