Merger proposal
I am suggesting that General Intercessions and Bidding prayer should be merged. Both articles are trying to cover the same material and their current separation created some misleading impressions, e.g. Bidding prayer appears to focus on the Anglican and Methodist traditions and refers as a "see also" to the Prayers of the faithful as "the intercessory prayers used in Catholic liturgy", but Prayers of the faithful is actually a redirect to General Intercessions, which highlights a number of terms "which form part of the liturgy in the Catholic, Lutheran, Anglican, Methodist and other Western Liturgical Churches". - BobKilcoyne (talk) 06:03, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
- Support - After reading the article about a bidding prayer, I can say as a Catholic that this appears to be very similar to the prayers of the faithful prayed at Catholic Mass, and so it would be best to have both under one article. Red0ctober22 (talk) 16:46, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
