"Idumoyasugibushi?"

Izumo

This is the old name for (part of) Shimane, not Iwate. Need to work out which was famous for its iron industry... Imaginatorium (talk) 04:51, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

Can't speak to Shimane, but Iwate was, and still is, famous for its ironworks. See also https://iwachu.co.jp/about/ (in Japanese), a page on the website of an iron foundry in Morioka. According to them, Morioka has been known for its cast iron since at least the Edo period. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi Tala við mig 23:12, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
