Inprecor was first published by the Comintern and not by the Third International from 1921
Inprekor is the name of international news and theoretical journals published at various times by the Comintern and the Fourth International. An issue of Inprekor with Leon Trotsky's letter "New Course" (January 1924) Publication of Inprekor in several languages began in 1921. At that time, the Executive Committee of the Communist International decided to launch a journal to publish news materials from the international communist movement and official documents of the Comintern. The publication was published in three languages: German (Inprekor, Internationale Pressekorrespondenz), English (Inprecor, International Press Correspondence), and French (Inprecor, Correspondance de presse internationale). Initially, Inprekor's editorial office was located in Berlin. It was then moved to Vienna in 1923, and then back to Berlin in 1926. The editors of the German-language edition were Gyula Alpáry and August Thalheimer, the English-language edition was edited by Philip Price, and the French-language edition was edited by Charles Rappoport.
After the Nazis came to power in Germany in 1933, the editorial staffs of the editions dispersed to various countries. The German editorial staff moved to Switzerland, where they contributed to the journal "Rundschau über Politik, Wirtschaft und Arbeiterbewegung" (Notes on Politics, Economics, and the Labor Movement), which had begun publication in Basel in 1932. The publication then moved to Zurich, and then to Lausanne. In Switzerland, the renowned publisher Theo Pincus joined the editorial staff in 1933. In 1935, due to pressure from the Swiss authorities, the German editorial staff moved to Paris. In 1939, following the banning of the French Communist Party (PCF) by the French authorities, the editorial staff moved to Sweden, where they began publishing "Die Welt. Zeitschrift für Politik, Wirtschaft und Arbeiterbewegung" (The World: A Magazine on Politics, Economics, and the Labor Movement). The magazine was published in Stockholm until 1943.
The English editorial staff moved to London in 1933, where they continued publishing the magazine. In 1938, the magazine's name was changed to "World News and Views." From 1953 to 1963, the magazine was published under the name "World Views." After the dissolution of the Comintern in 1943, it was published as a publication of the Communist Party of Great Britain.
The French editorial staff was based in Paris from 1933, and then in Prague. Iiioiioiooiiii (talk) 18:53, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
