Created as an element that cannot stand alone 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 18:16, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- its mostly just for people who only want to search for instagram reels and dont want to look for the reels section in the instagram article. Meiswikepiediaeditor (talk) 18:18, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- same as how there is a YouTube shorts article that's not in the YouTube article so people dont have to look for it in the big article Meiswikepiediaeditor (talk) 18:21, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- Agree. Redundancy. Itzcuauhtli11 (talk) 06:20, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
Comment: this is now listed at Wikipedia:Proposed article mergers 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 19:54, 30 November 2024 (UTC)- Agree, not worthy of a separate article. Jokullmusic 15:11, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- Agree. Should be merged into Instagram. Cfls (talk) 04:13, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
- Agree. Merge it. ElectronCompound (talk) 11:51, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
Proposed merge of Facebook Reels with Instagram Reels
If it should be merged, at least group them. Merge with Facebook Reels instead. LIrala (talk) 09:09, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
- It’s best not to merge Instagram Reels with Facebook Reels. Instagram Reels is its own separate thing from Facebook Reels with some similarities. Bennett1203 (talk) 15:18, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
- Closing with no merge. Given the merge of Instagram Reels to here, the merge of Facebook Reels now seems redundant. Klbrain (talk) 08:49, 25 April 2025 (UTC)

Moving a ref

The first word in the lead is followed by an explanatory footnote, that states the service is often abbreviated as "IG, Insta, or the Gram", which is followed by a reference that starts "For example:" and then mentions a book, and includes a quote parameter that reads: "Instagram (IG) is a photo sharing app created in October of 2010 allowing users to share photos and videos." In my opinion, this reference should be moved to follow "IG" in the explanatory footnote, as it specifically sources abbreviation "IG", and not "Insta", or "the Gram". --62.166.252.159 (talk) 09:22, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- We are probably better off just adding further sourcing if that's what's needed. For example, https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-49445005 uses the phrase "the gram" meamemg (talk) 15:05, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
Done and I also added additional references for the other names. cyberdog958Talk 03:19, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
- Nice. Thanks. --62.166.252.159 (talk) 15:38, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
