Talk:Instant Messaging and Presence Protocol
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Why IMPP is obsolete?!?! Why by XMPP, not APEX, PRIM, SIMPLE or whatever? RFC 2778 and 2779 are NOT obsolete according to rfc-editor.org. -- Grossmann 10:04, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- IMPP was not a protocol, but a set of requirements which should be met by a Internet Standard Protocol. These were then implemented in the XMPP related standards. Paladyn-john (talk) 08:23, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
