Liberal bias?
I noticed how my recent edit got reverted and I am wondering what can be done to remove the liberal bias from the page. Any ideas? ~2026-15307-71 (talk) 15:41, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- How about instead of political buzzwords you identify a specific problem you'd like to discuss? AusLondonder (talk) 16:00, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
White supremacist
The IP editor appears to be correct about lack of adequate sourcing. The two sources substantiating that claim are a blog from a Maddow Show producer and a single news story from NBC. I don't think that's close to enough to label a living person a white supremacist. voorts (talk/contributions) 23:17, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

- Note that I've removed the content per WP:BLPREMOVE and it should not be restored until there's consensus. voorts (talk/contributions) 23:28, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- What part of BLPREMOVE applies here? WP:NBC is considered a reliable source. If "white supremacist" is considered unacceptable for BLPs how can we have a whole category tree Category:White supremacists? What sources would you consider sufficient? AusLondonder (talk) 23:46, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- BLPREMOVE #1. It is poorly sourced because it is sourced to the producer of a news opinion program and a primary source news article that doesn't cover the subject in depth. And, in addition to BLPREMOVE, there's MOS:LABEL, which says that contentious labels "are best avoided unless widely used by reliable sources to describe the subject, in which case use in-text attribution". voorts (talk/contributions) 23:50, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- Here's Lang doing a Nazi salute outside a Jewish organisation while he warns "White people in America, you will be replaced, and your children will be Black Muslims if you don’t stand up now" but mainstream media reporting that he's a white supremacist is "contentious material"? I suggest reading his full comments at that article which I won't repeat here. AusLondonder (talk) 23:53, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- I have read the article and know about Lang, and I think his words and actions speak for themselves, but calling him a "white supremacist" in wikivoice is contentious and our PAGs make clear that we need several reliable sources to use such a label.(Found another part of BLP that applies, WP:BLPSTYLE, which says "Do not label people with contentious labels ... unless a person is commonly described that way in reliable sources." voorts (talk/contributions) 23:58, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- All you need to do to restore the content is find several more sources that use that term to describe him. voorts (talk/contributions) 23:59, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- Here are some additional sources which refer to Jake Lang as a "White Supremacist" or "alleged White Supremacist":

- The press release shows Lang being referred to as a white supremacist by Mamdani, not a reliable source itself. The other source refers to Lang as "an alleged white supremacist", which is not the same as explicitly describing him as a white supremacist. ★ The Green Star Collector ★ (talk) 16:15, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
