Paragraph on Carter living 100

The sentence about Carter, "He is the longest-lived president in U.S. history and the only one to reach the age of 100" is in the first paragraph of the main section. The placement makes it seem like trivial. I wonder if it fits more in the last paragraph, perhaps place it after this sentence, along with a little rewriting: "Carter was a key figure in the nonprofit housing organization Habitat for Humanity. He also wrote political memoirs and other books, commentary on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, and poetry. Upon his death in 2024, Carter was the longest-lived president in U.S. history and the only one to reach the age of 100." ~2025-36915-84 (talk) 22:17, 14 December 2025 (UTC)

Carter not on active duty during WWII

1. Jimmy Carter’s Wikipedia entry indicates that his active service in the US Navy began in 1946 (upon graduation from the Naval Academy) 2. It also credits him with Service in World War II 3. WWII ended in 1945 4. Ergo, he did not serve in World War II. ~2026-85838-5 (talk) 16:11, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

As covered in an earlier discussion, Carter was a cadet in the U.S. Naval Academy during WWII, and cadets enrolled in the military academies are defined as being on active duty. - Donald Albury 17:20, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
