Main Photo
I believe that we should change the main photo of this article to his official 2013 portrait. This is because the 2013 photo is more aesthetically pleasing than the one currently used, and since articles about politicians on Wikipedia tend to use official portraits. - This seems like a reasonable idea, however it may also be worth considering the image used for the 2004 election, his nomination for President was arguably the highlight of his career and what he will be remembered for so I'd be more inclined to use that image as the lead, however I would be fine if the Secretary of State photo is used as well since it is a major office and was taken only 8 years after his candidacy. - Personally I think the 2004 image suits best, it might be 20 years old, but his appearance has not changed drastically since then. - @Robertus Pius Per this thread I changed his image to @Semi Charmed Kinda Life's suggestion, and I'm inclined to agree with them, but if you have a reason for preferring the prior photo I'd like to hear about it. Catjerine (talk) 06:48, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

Year he left climate position to work on Biden's 2024 presidential campaign
The sentence starting "On March 6..." in the last paragraph of the first introductory section should include the year (2024). Otherwise, it implies he was only in the position for two months. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.189.197.45 (talk) 16:23, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
Excessive linking?
There are way too many links and the text looks like it's half blue. Is there really a need to link to e.g. "United Nations" or "politics" or "foreign policy"?
