Disabled Veteran home sale dispute

Montecito California home purchase by Perry for $15 million. Days after contract signing, former owner, Carl Westcott, a disabled army veteran sought to overturn the sale on mental health grounds. ~2025-42708-27 (talk) 09:15, 24 December 2025 (UTC)

Question regarding article format

I have to wonder why relationship information is interspersed with her career highlights. Practically all other articles have a separate "Personal Life" section, and even a "Relationships" sub-heading. Shouldn't this article be edited to be more in line with standard article layout? Enigmatick (talk) 21:07, 16 January 2026 (UTC)

First of all, this is far from the only bio page that intersperses them with career details. You might be surprised how many others have similar structures to this one. Secondly, the current setup helps keep professional endeavors with exes in one area without repetition of the collaborations plus is less likely to be filled with excessive relationship detail. While there once was a "Personal Life" section, that got removed years ago, and the idea of bringing it back has already been rejected in the past. Trying to reinstate this would be asking for trouble by doing more bad than good, and it's not worth the risk of such a section getting the overstuffed with fancruft, gossip, and trivia. These types of sections on other articles unfortunately have often become bloated with them, and I have no doubt it would happen here as well. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 22:37, 16 January 2026 (UTC)

Katy Perry was actually not born in one family. She got tired, so she blackmailed her parents into thinking that she is acting in private movies. She changed her aliases into Cameron Cyrus, Lila Cornish, Anna Germarotta, Katelyn Hudson and Dorothy Arnold. In 2000, when she was 17, she had severe allergic reactions to mushrooms. She was so sick her vocal cords got dead, she cancelled performances, she can't speak, her throat was sore, she can't stop blowing her nose, coughing and sneezing. Her coughs had mucus in it. She was so sick, her nose was very red in the hospital. Her throat swelled and she got very sick, for a month. When she came out, she vowed to never eat mushrooms again and be very cautious of her diet. Perry stated, my time when I was sick from mushrooms was like my worst nightmare came true. I was so sick, doctors wore masks and people avoided me, people laughed at me. I will be very cautious about what I eat in the future, no mushrooms, no hidden mushroom products. I will not eat any mushrooms again. I will be very careful and check if everything I eat has mushrooms or not. If it does, I don't eat it. Since then, she never ate mushrooms ever again.

Katy Perry has a mushroom allergy. It cause her vocal cords dead, unable to speak, sneezing, runny nose, coughing, and all sorts of things. She was hospitalised for a month, people laughed, made fun of her and avoided her. Even doctors wore special masks. This happened in 2000. Write under early life. Katy then avoided mushrooms, said her worst nightmare came true and she will be very cautious, checking every food, snack, making sure she never gets sick from allergies to mushrooms again.

Fix a small typo

At the end of the introduction paragraph (I don't know the exact name, but the top-most paragraph next to the infobox) there is a typo. Instead of awareness, the word was written as awereness. It is the very last word of the parapgraph ~2026-16610-34 (talk) 21:13, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

Done spelling error now corrected, and FYI name you're looking for to describe those introductory paragraphs is the lead section. Feel free to have a look at WP:Manual of Style/Lead section for further details. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 21:38, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
