You can hem and haw about how you think this or that time Kurapika behaved girl-like all you want, the fact remains he is completely flat chested, and refers to himself as a male after removing the disguise when capturing Kuroro. He's even topless on the cover of Volume 14. "But wait", you say, "He could be binding his chest or taking hormones or have had plastic surgery!" Why you think that he is a girl ? Courtesy isn't only for girls. Or maybe you don't like that he is so cute. You think that there is a girl that can fight Ubogine and win ? If you think so why can't be a boy with that cuteness? Probably you don't understand why he hit Leorio that time, you like to see someone naked ? Don't need a proof to know that he is a boy, this is clear from his appearance. But if you want a proof see epizode 49, Vezze said:"All men who are kissed by me will become my slave". Excuse me for my poor English. ""that would have blowed my cover and everyone would know I'm female"" so why disguising as a girl ? is it a double disguise ? if it is then why hiding gender? there is no reason clarified before that the anime ends. How you answer someone who tells you that he has doubt about Hisoka's gender? the answer is "there is no reason to think so" It is true that the doubt about gender is classic in shounen but it occurs in the anime between characters themselves and not out of the anime between watchers. In the anime he is treated all time as man. "If we suppose that Kurapika is a girl hiding her gender, then she must be cautious and not let anyone know about her gender and she must disguise! if we suppose that she is doing then it is "nonsense diguise" because it is not discovered at the end like classic shounen, and this did not modify the watched scenario. We continue thinking about disguising, so this disguise is successful because none of the characters has treated Kurapika as woman and the watchers have seen this, but some of them are doubting, so they must see something from Kurapika that the characters in the anime have not seen, what is it? Nothing! Probably because of a classical appearance that is considered as girlish; so we must consider that appearance like the characters in anime consider it." If we ask questions like: how much hear I have on my head? or how many leaves in that tree? or what is the name of the grandmother of the grandmother of that person? or what are the bits stored in this magnetic card? But when we ask questions like: how much hear on Leorio's head? or how many leafs in the tree where Hisoka were resting at the 4th exam? or what is the name of the grandmother of the grandmother of Hanzo? or what are the bits stored in Gon's hunter license card? Then these are invalid and nonsense questions because they ask about unthinked imagination, so in imagination there are things that are defined and ones that are not but in reality all things are well defined. In Togashi's imagination (I mean hunter x hunter) there are definitions represented in the anime and ones that are represented in the hunter's guide and there are no contradiction between these two representations of the same imagination. And we must consider only definitions that are included there. For example the definition "Kurapika's blood type" is listed on the guide. We can note (in episode 1) that Gon caught a fish heavier then him and brought it out from water, physically it is not possible but this is part of imagination so the physical rules and definitions are not the same as in truth so what we will say about the social definitions? perhaps they are radically different between two different countries so what we will say about the difference between an anime and the reality? I mean the definition of girlish appearance. When Kurapika hit Leorio because he leaves the shower without clothes, some people have considered that behaviour girlish because IN THEIR MANNERS this is legitimate between two persons with the same sex. That is not polite. We can note that Yoshihiro Togashi travelled to other countries and saw many different cultures and religions, he shows us the different personalities of characters, he made Kurapika reserved unlike the others (Gon and Kilua had a shower together and see each other naked).A.ouerfelli (talk) 21:18, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

After talking with Roxas255 I readded the image. At the time it wasn't clear why the image was changed (lack of good edit summary). The current image in the infobox is to reflect how Kurapkia normally looks and the former pic was moved to another section more relevent on what he looks like when his eyes change color.陣内_Jinnai 22:35, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

If that's the goal, then the image should be changed yet again. The old image (which I added) was with Kurapika's eyes red under black contacts, so you don't really see the red. -Zyrxil (talk) 16:21, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

If that's how he commonly looks, then yes, that should be the goal. Do you have a link to that file (we can't post the image itself on the talk page) to compare. I would also prefer it be from the original work, the manga, in color if possible. I don't know if that was the case for your image.陣内_Jinnai 19:55, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
