Merge with Lightning article
I haven't read both articles in full, but it seems unnecessary to have two articles that both appear to just be about lightning. Should they be merged into a single article under "Lightning"? IndigoGollum (talk) 18:46, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think so. This one is more specific. And redirecting all of the links to hear that talk about aircraft crashes could be challenging. Loymdayddaud (talk) 05:25, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose The page was originally called lightning safety and was a considered split/merge from lightning and other topics such as lightning prevention in 2005. The page title was changed to lightning strike in 2008 and this has perhaps resulted in some drift of the topic. As there seems to be plenty to say, we should consider the overall division and history before generating further confusion and tangle. Andrew🐉(talk) 10:02, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
