Pre-1994 vanguard
New York Times style writer Guy Trebay pushes the origin point back to sometime in the 1980s which represents the original airing of Miami Vice. Re: Narcissism
I've removed the category and moved the material out of the lead and into a criticism section. This idea that metrosexuality is a form of narcissism is simply a reactionary response from "hegemonic masculinities". We should not be encouraging this kind of thing.
