Explanation for use of country - FAQ

Can someone write an explanation of the use of the country and put it in the talk page as a FAQ? 🐈Cinaroot  💬 00:49, 9 March 2026 (UTC)

This has been debated several times - we get many IP's and users complaining about it 🐈Cinaroot  💬 00:51, 9 March 2026 (UTC)

Edit request 15 March 2026

I would personally add Wissam Joubran and Daniel Barenboim as important Palestinian musicians, and Saint Levant as an important singer. The section "culture", particularly "music", has a lot of singers and rappers, but it lacks musicians such as conductors, pianists, and so on. Joubran and Barenboim are the most famous Palestinian ones. And, as said, I would add Saint Levant as well, the very first Levantine to become a Dior testimonial. • Not done for now: There's only so much space on each state's article so the choice of which individuals to include doesn't strike me as something uncontroversial or obvious, and because of that I'm going to have to ask you to attempt to establish some kind of a consensus before an edit request can be implemented. See WP:SUNS for information on that. I can see that you have already made a post above to try and start a discussion and I encourage you to give editors here some more time to answer or alternatively try to post elsewhere, like on a related project page. ―Maltazarian (talkinvestigate) 22:27, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
This user is not allowed to participate in discussions on this article and is thus not able "to attempt to establish some kind of a consensus".
I think it's fine to decline the edit request as it is subjective, and to just allow this to remain here for any other users to be able to consider whether or not to implement any of the suggested additions. IOHANNVSVERVS (talk) 22:46, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Yeah my bad, I actually just remembered this after responding to a different request at Talk:Benjamin Netanyahu#Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 15 March 2026 (2). After catching my mistake I didn't remember that I had done the same here though. It's a relatively small share of edit requests I respond to that I give the no consensus response to and that also fall under WP:CT/A-I so it's easy to forget the special restrictions in this topic area while trying to get through the backlog. I'll try to be more vigilant going forward. ―Maltazarian (talkinvestigate) 23:05, 15 March 2026 (UTC)

Rise of Palestinian nationalism

This section is undue in the history section. It should be briefly mentioned in a relevant context, if at all. It's not a standalone topic for a country article; nationalism exists for every country. Why is this in its own section 🐈Cinaroot   06:11, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
