Why were they called "Perkin"? And "Transactions"?
Why were they called "Perkin"? And "Transactions"? --Jorge Stolfi (talk) 20:05, 23 April 2019 (UTC).
- The name honours the chemist Arthur George Perkin. I have added this to the article. Note the english spelling. --Bduke (talk) 23:32, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
- I was wondering if there is a source to whether the journal honours Arthur George Perkin and not his father William Henry Perkin (or his brother William Henry Perkin Jr., or all of them, as they were all organic chemists). Just curious as in the William Henry Perkin page there is a picture where it states that the journal is named after him.
- Thanks! 2A00:23C6:3EC9:F001:45D2:289:3294:2E62 (talk) 22:33, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
