Thomas's death
User:BootsED, your reversion of long-standing content (also with contributions from others) is disruptive. Thomas's death is significant because as Puck explains, it is used politically against Thiel (whether that is right or not). This is absolutely about Thiel. Thiel has/had other partners and a reputation (not always nice) about his private sex life, especially when he was younger, but I don't write that down because they don't have a political shade attached to them nor it concerns his business much (yes, but not much, a Princeton fellow became a Palantir employee after he married Danzeisen)..---Deamonpen (talk) 15:27, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not a place to right great wrongs. Details about Thiel's long-term partner, his former employers, allegations of his motivations of why he wanted Thiel to stop his political activities, speculations about his mental health, his police report, and quotations from media commentators about what it means are out of scope for a personal life section about Thiel. The one sentence simply describing Thiel as having a long-term partner who disagreed with his political activities is more than enough. BootsED (talk) 15:33, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- What is the scope of a personal life section? I don't create a biography of Thomas here, but I will. Thomas's relationship with Thiel and his death, which causes a lot of debates about Thiel's responsibility or non responsibility in that, absolutely have everything to do with Thiel. Are you saying the other party using his partner's death against him (right or wrong) does not worth discussing on his page?---Deamonpen (talk) 15:45, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- Extensive details of this are not WP:DUE. I understand you may find theories about his death personally wrong, but this is not a place to debunk theories. Please do not create a biography of Thomas here. BootsED (talk) 15:53, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- Media comments are all about Thiel and relationship with Thiel. Brock and co trying to dig dirt is also fact, not speculation. Wikipedia never claims absolute truth, but there are things mentioned by more than one source and would be considered significant coverage. And I don't see a single critical comment from you on the extensive media comments in other Personal life section. That Thiel bought the NZ citizenship or he imagines himself the Katechon or whatever is speculative too, and much more than Pucks' comments (at least Pucks has police, Thomas's brothers, other witnesses on their side).Deamonpen (talk) 15:55, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- That is absolutely personal opinion bias that this is undue weight.
- There is enough media coverage on it to warrant a solid section. ~2026-31759-9 (talk) 11:56, 15 January 2026 (UTC)

Wrong word
"The family emigrated to the United States when Peter was one year old and lived in Cleveland, Ohio." Is wrong.
It should read "The family immigrated to the United States when Peter was one year old and lived in Cleveland, Ohio."
The sentence is written from the U.S. point of view (their destination).
Emigrate = leave a country
Immigrate = enter a country
THISISMYACCOUNT78 (talk) 01:48, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- This is not correct. A family emigrates from one place to another, where they are immigrants. Strongly recommend consulting Modern English Usage, p. 256 in current edition. Tim riley talk 20:52, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
Location of commentary in Introduction
It seems strange to have the following text in the first paragraph of a biographic description, given that it is lightly sourced and fits in better with later sections:
" Thiel has been described as "perhaps America's leading public intellectual today",[11] or "intellectual architect of Silicon Valley's contemporary ethos".[12]. "
It seems these two sentences along with " Others debate the consistency or morality of his views.[13][N 1][15][16] " would make more sense further into the document where topics like this are discussed, such as after " Variously described as a conservative libertarian and democracy-skeptic authoritarian, Thiel has made substantial donations to American right-wing figures and causes. " MangycatPalmTree (talk) 20:18, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- Agree. His main occupations in the infobox refer to finances. Therefore his other exploits are secondary and should be in subsequent paragraphs, not the first one. I have made the move.
Moronic sentence
The sentence "Others debate the consistency or morality of his views" can be stated about practically any public figure. It is simply a moron's way of then shoveling irrelevant partisan garbage into a biographical article. ~2026-24681-7 (talk) 01:55, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

Please add the following sentences to the section that discusses Thiel's Roth IRA:
In 2014 Peter Thiel and Jeffrey Epstein exchanged emails discussing tax strategies. In response to a question about the value of the Roth IRA from Epstein, Thiel responded that his Roth IRA is "somewhere over 2 [billion dollars]".

In the Carbyne section, I think the sentence
"Documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal in 2023 show that others, there were scheduled meetings (half a dozen between 2014 and 2016) betwwen Thiel and Epstein, including with others such as Woody Allen and Obama's advisor Kathryn Ruemmler" should be changed to:

Remove mention of David Wood, his group Acts 17 Apologetics is of no relation to the Acts 17 Collective that hosted Thiel, that group is ran by two women of no relation to Wood Theoldcutter (talk) 16:55, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
