When will the 2025 map be included?

Uruguay should be red, are you guys planning on adding the 2025 map after the Ecuadorian election? 179.125.247.180 (talk) 18:47, 4 April 2025 (UTC)

NPOV in "Economic Impact"

The section on economic impact keeps quoting from Jacobin, which WP:RSPS says to avoid citing for analysis. This whole section reads like a political speech and it's a bit jarring from the rest of the article. Veilure (talk) 22:04, 12 October 2025 (UTC)

Veilure, I agree that there are POV issues with that section (reads like a persuasive essay to me). But I don't see where the article cites Jacobin, either now or when you posted this. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 🛸 00:07, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
The section heavily cites Jacobin's quarterly journal Catalyst. Eustathius (talk) 18:02, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

Add Delcy Rodriguez as part of the Pink Tide?

Since the United States just bombed Caracas and kidnapped Maduro for "drug trafficking", I'm guessing we should add his Vice President as part of it. Is it ideal? No. But she's the one currently in charge, similar to how Boluarte was in charge after Castillo got the boot in Peru in 2022, or Anez after Morales in 2019. I know media reports are still a little fuzzy right now (for obvious reasons), but I just think this is what we might as well do while she's in charge. All feedback is welcome, thanks KeysofDreams (talk) 13:56, 3 January 2026 (UTC)

That's what the law says, yes, but we still need to see that actually happening. At this moment there are many possible outcomes: The one you said, Urrutia acknowledged as legitimate president, new elections, someone appointed by the US... we have to wait and see what happens now. TSJ just ordered her to assume the Presidency, is that a good enough threshold? KeysofDreams (talk) 05:35, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
Again, let's see if that actually happens. Cambalachero (talk) 13:14, 4 January 2026 (UTC)

The pink tide is over

The tides have turned to the right & after the Venezuelan intervention they’re just gonna sway further ~2025-40979-07 (talk) 03:49, 4 January 2026 (UTC)

While the Pink Tide has declined over 2025, and we can add that to the lead I wouldn't say it's "over". It was also in major decline by 2018, with right-wing presidencies everywhere. Think about it like an actual tide: it rises and falls. KeysofDreams (talk) 05:37, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
A friendly reminder that talk pages are not forums. Let's stick to discussions about improving the article rather than give our personal analyses and arguments. Yue🌙 (talk) 09:35, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
