antihero versus superhero
One or more IP editors have recently tried replacing "antihero" in the lede with "superhero", claiming it's the neutral term.
To which I reply: Which part is a neutral description - super, or hero? Both seem heavily POV. --Nat Gertler (talk) 05:06, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Nat Gertler, I think you have it wrong as here it's being changed to the neutral term "character" not "superhero". It's User:Lobo151 who has been reverting to "anithero" as seen here minutes before your post, which is the POV term. 207.229.139.154 (talk) 13:09, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
User:207.229.139.154 completely ignored the discussion on this talk page "Superhero?" This is all discussed there. The conclusion there was antihero. There is no need to have the discussion againLobo151 (talk) 13:19, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Whoops, there have been both "character" and superhero inserted there of late; I lost track on the reverts. "Antihero" is a fine descriptor, and supported in the discussion above. -Nat Gertler (talk) 13:33, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- He is referred to as an anti hero in *multiple* academic sources. See links here on Google scholar:

Terrible choice for image
The image represented does not display the iconic look of the Punisher’s costume, not does it represent him with guns. Instead it displays him as some sort of techno samurai. Display something more iconic please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:6C44:767F:4AC3:7923:7668:450C:3234 (talk) 04:59, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
- I agree. I find it so hilariously petty, the same as if Spider-Man had been appropriated a la Pepe the Frog, and then the image they put on the wiki page was him with the bag over his head costume.
- I am assuming you tried to edit this already and someone higher up is insisting for "whatever" reason. 2600:1702:820:7410:BD20:1398:2835:A30B (talk) 14:37, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
Move page to The Punisher ?
His name includes "The", like "The Beatles". 2A00:23C5:FE1C:3701:E46F:5C94:C477:67CA (talk) 16:32, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
Initial Series section cleanup
There is absolutely zero reason to be mentioning Barracuda (created in the mid 2000s) in the last paragraph of the initial series section. If anything, that entire paragraph should be moved to its own section, if it is normal to discuss the rogues gallery of a character. 47.195.108.111 (talk) 02:04, 12 September 2025 (UTC)
