A search of Newspapers.com turned up only this, which is not independent and does not indicate notability:

Rigaku announced that it will receive the 2002 R&D 100 award from R&D magazine. Kenosha News, October 17, 2002, page 16

While the search only covered US newspapers, it showed numerous non-notable entries indicating a very large US presence, so that any notable events should have turned up.

Google is the same.

A search of JSTOR revealed only scientific papers which listed Rigaku meters among their instruments, as well as the Japanese word rigaku used in other contexts. Julian in LA (talk) 19:41, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
