I propose to merge Enclosure Services Interface here. The ESI article has no sources and very low coverage, probably no standalone WP:N (many mentions in literature are actually about an interface to physical enclosures, not SCSI, cf. ). ESI is just one of the interfaces used for communications to a SCSI enclosure controller. Викидим (talk) 19:30, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

Oppose – ESI is a much older and likely long obsolete protocol, SES is current and extremely common. If need be, perhaps a collective enclosure services article would make sense, but I'm not so sure about that either. --Zac67 (talk) 18:08, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
(comment) Thank you for a thoughtful answer. We also have SES-2 Enclosure Management and SAF-TE, used to have SCSI standalone enclosure services (merged here). T10 appears to be very prolific, so I am looking into the sources for a collective article as described by you. Викидим (talk) 18:32, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
Викидим, is this something you're still interested in? The merge proposal has been pending for a few months. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 🛸 00:40, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
Yes, I am still interested. However, as a nominator of the proposal that had seen opposition, I am an involved user and cannot do much until someone else closes the discussion. WP:MERGECLOSE has the details. Викидим (talk) 04:33, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
