Expert needed?
What about the history of safes? I'm sure someone out there knows about the rich history of famous safes, safe attacks and other interesting information.--k
safe is the opposite to alternative is it not?
Ratings?
It would be good to have a listing of the various ratings on safes, for both UL and CE:
Something like: http://www.geocities.com/ghardigree/id6.htm
(but of course, properly referenced to the original specifications at UL and CE) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.196.152.118 (talk) 18:22, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
I have some familiarity with TL rated safes and have never seen a TL-40 model, was this a previous approved TL rating? Perhaps consideration should be given to incorporating TL-30x6, for the six sided protection as well as the newer RSC Level I, II, and III ratings from UL. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CactusHills (talk • contribs) 02:19, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
Merger proposal
I propose that Henry Brown (inventor) be merged into Safe#History. Due to the small amount of information about Brown's life, I think having the information about his invention in the Safe article is acceptable. I have already taken the liberty to add the information about Brown to the article in a new history section. I hope you will support me in this merger, thank you. - No. Instead, expand the article about Henry Brown, if possible. Tens of thousands of athletes / sports competitors are on Wikipedia, obscure cricked players that only played for 1-2 years somewhere in India decades ago. Use the "Random article" function for a while to see what i mean. This guy did something real, the article is easy to maintain, and more data might follow.188.104.98.212 (talk) 12:20, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

Safe → ? – I think the term Safe should redirect to Safety because I believe this is the primary topic. I don't have an opinion on the new name of this article. 50.255.141.222 (talk) 12:13, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose "safe" as a noun does not refer to safety. feminist (talk) 12:30, 20 January 2018 (UTC)

- Oppose you're confusing the noun "safe" (this article) with the adjective "safe". Two separate concepts. Snuggums (talk / edits) 16:25, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
