What are the requirements to be on the notable show caves list?
Putting a cave on the notable show caves list seems somewhat arbitrary. For example, why is Ohio Caverns on the list, but Jewel Cave National Monument or Wind Cave National Park the 2nd and 5th longest caves in the world are absent? There at minimum be some sort of justification for why a cave gets placed on this list.

List of notable examples
A lot of show caves have appeared on this list which are patently not notable, and some with erroneous claims (such as Angitis having "the longest underground river cave". I intend to prune the list during the next few days. Langcliffe (talk) 14:15, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
- Perhaps an idea would be to move the current list to its own "list of show caves" page, and reduce the list here to only those that are notable, with justification as to why they are notable? GleisReis (talk) 15:07, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
- Good idea. If you fancy sorting out a new page, I'll prune the list. Langcliffe (talk) 16:35, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
- No stress - I have saved the current list and am wating for your revision. I'll create a separate article "List of show caves" once you revised the current list and shortened it to the notable examples. GleisReis (talk) 19:58, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- I'll look at it in the next few days. Langcliffe (talk) 08:06, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
