photo of Tarabai

The photo does not look like that of Marathi queen. It looks like that of some Mughal or some north Indian queen. Marathi ladies in those days wore nauvari (nine yards) saree.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.163.39.2 (talk) 09:43, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

Need more references

Entire discussion on legitimacy of the maratha empire rests on arguments made by of Parasnis who is of brahmin caste. There have been consistent efforts by brahmins to disrepute maratha royal lineage which can be clearly seen here.

Either cite more sources or remove the disreputable text. Eg 1. Tarabai giving the soldier her saree 2. Rajaram’s make belive origin story based on heresay 3. Tarabai proclaiming that her own grandson was not legitimate Omkya (talk) 17:35, 12 December 2020 (UTC)

Dear Omkya, I have removed the Raj era source on which the section is based on.We have quite a few more modern sources in the section.I recommend you rework the section using those sources.Keep a neutral tone though. We are here just to give information in plain language without glorifying or vilifying anyone. Thanks and good luck.Jonathansammy (talk) 16:07, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
The whole section of her leading the army etc. sounds very sketchy. She has no war experience yet defeats seasoned warriors blah blah. Sounds like a feminist fantasy.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.204.247.30 (talk) 17:09, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
