Recently, an IP user removed the Cherokee name from the Infobox. I reverted it, asking for discussion in the Talk page before removing since it's been a long-standing part of the page. @BilCat came in behind me and reverted my reversion, but without actually bringing it up here as requested. They make a good point in the edit summary, that the purpose of the native name parameter isn't appropriate here, that it is instead for a place's name if it differs from its English name (e.g., Deutschland vs. Germany). I am in agreement with this, but wanted to raise it here for discussion since, again, this was in the Infobox for so long. nf utvol (talk) 19:08, 29 December 2024 (UTC)
