The rank issue
I'm not sure why there is so much opposition to showing his actual rank (Master Sergeant) as opposed to the rank he was frocked/brevetted as (Command Sergeant Major). I look to the Chelsea Manning page which has rank listed as Private (formerly Specialist)
and I wonder why the same can't be used here - Master Sergeant (formerly Command Sergeant Major)

- Master Sergeant is the rank that he retired as, so that seems to make the most sense to actually show. ~Darth StabroTalk • Contribs 15:14, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
CNN has debunked the daycare fraud allegations
Hi, please add the new info that CNN has debunked the right-wing conspiracy theory about the daycare fraud. They called multiple daycares, one even responded and confirmed via phone that they're a legitimate business
https://edition.cnn.com/2025/12/30/us/video/ac360-wild-mn-fraud-viral-video-nick-shirley ~2025-35113-26 (talk) 13:15, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose: The interview you cited focused on interviewing Nick Shirley, and not on investigating the fraud allegations. Furthermore, in the same interview CNN asserts that indictments regarding this particular alleged fraud scheme have already been issued under the Biden administration, and that further investigations are still ongoing. The second segment of the interview featured casual discussion between experts on the subject matter, but again, there wasn't any definite conclusion for either stance in said segment. Which part of the interview are you pointing to precisely to assert the allegations were disproved? --- LatekVon (talk) 15:07, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- CNN clearly said that a daycare center confirmed on phone that they weren't doing any fraud. but the MAGAts still believe there is fraud ~2025-35113-26 (talk) 16:03, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Conveying what the accused party said is informative, not authoritative. Lack of CNN's judgment at this point in time is further reinforced by the following statement by the CNN: "A lot of folks in the media, including [...] CNN which is looking to verify this video, are showing pause and trepidation around Shirley's reporting, it's just that [sic] making sure that its verified that it's showing fraud." (same rapport, timestamp 5:56) --- LatekVon (talk) 18:11, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- CNN, CBS have not debunked any of the Nick Shirley facts. Because they focused only on the actions of the centers after he showed up. The daycare centers called co conspirators to show up after Nick Shirley eas there is not actual evidence of any value. ~2026-39051 (talk) 22:13, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
