Is "X  A" supposed to be "X-A" or what? -phma

It was X \ A. There used to be a bug that ate backslashes. Evidently this page was never fixed. --Zundark 16:29 Nov 28, 2002 (UTC)

Why upper case?

Just wondering, why is this article not situated at "Ultrafilter Lemma", meaning why is "lemma" capital? Thanks! Oleg Alexandrov 05:37, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Suggested merge

I (Brighterorange) moved the following text without comment from the article to this talk page, where it belongs:

Note: It seems to be quite reasonable to merge this article into other articles: most of all Boolean prime ideal theorem, but the characterization of ultrafilters (maximal filters, prime filters) of Boolean algebras of which the above proof is a special instance, would fit well into Boolean algebra. It would also be helpful to clarify whether this entails the Boolean prime ideal theorem (thus being equivalent) or not.
