The translation of the kharoshti script in the image legend translate "Mahishwara" as "name of Shiva".
I think "Mahishwara" here should be translated as "King" or "Lord of the earth" from "Mahi"+"Ishwara". Reference to Shiva is usually done with "Maheshwara" and not "Mahishwara".
But I cannot read Kharoshti. It would be best to get an epigraphist's opinion if the Kharoshti original has an "i" or an "e" syllable.

Considering name
Was Vima Kadphises considered as Vermaditam Hatami in India? In my town, many people says that Kaniska's predecesor was Vermaditam Kharavela Deva (talk) 15:02, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
