Proposed merge of WPLP into WTBN

WTBN and WPLP are the same license; in most cases we try to keep stations' histories in one article. WCQuidditch 08:34, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

Split proposed due to WTWD sale

Owing to the sale of WTWD to Solmart Media, which has replaced the WTBN simulcast with regional Mexican (which itself may or may not be itself a simulcast of new sister station WTMY), it's probably past time to give it a separate article. That will require more material than is currently present in the article, but I suspect that obstacle can be overcome (and WTWD is actually 17 years older than WTBN, anyway). Agreed per the reasons stated above. Stereorock (talk) 09:56, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
Agree - I would also like to add that WTWD has changed formats once again. This time, based on Solmart Media's website & the Facebook page of their sister station WTMY, it seems like they just flipped to a Bilingual AC format in similar vein to iHeartMedia's WMIA-FM in Miami as of December 12, 2025. However, in contrast to WMIA-FM, WTWD has a fairer balance of Spanish songs in their playlist alongside the English songs they play. I'm a bit surprised RadioInsight overlooked this format change when it happened. ChocoMingo (talk) 20:51, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
