The Texas Smash are a professional table tennis team based in Texas. The team competes in the Western Division of Major League Table Tennis (MLTT) and was the winner of the league's inaugural championship in 2024.[1]

History
The Texas Smash were founded in 2023 as one of the original eight franchises of Major League Table Tennis. The team was acquired in September 2023 by Anita and Mahesh Joshi.[2] Mahesh Joshi is the Managing Director of MAN Energy Solutions and a published business author.[3]
In the 2023–24 season, the Smash finished the regular season with an 11–11 record. During the postseason, the team defeated the Carolina Gold Rush in the semifinals and the Princeton Revolution in the finals to win the first MLTT Cup.[4]
In the 2024–25 season, the Smash finished 1st in the Western Division during the regular season. They reached the championship match but finished as runners-up after a loss to the Carolina Gold Rush.[5]
Roster and personnel
The team is coached by Jörg Bitzigeio, former High Performance Director for USA Table Tennis and former head coach of the German women’s national team.[6]
