Giovanni Santolla (May 26, 1989), known professionally as The Spoiled, is an Italian musician and record producer from Sammichele di Bari. Its music combines post-punk, shoegaze, electronic rock, and indie rock.

History
Initially started as a studio project, The Spoiled released its debut EP Ironshell on January 13, 2016 [1][2] and a video for the single Wish House.[3] Their full length Parasite [4] came out on June 22, 2016 via Manic Depression Records.[5]
After going on hiatus for 8 years, in late 2024, the project self-released the debut EP Time distributed by Manic Depression [6] , followed in 2025 by the full-length Living Ghosts (Swiss Dark Nights),[7] anticipated by the single Ravenous.
Following the album’s release, The Spoiled collaborated with international acts including This Eternal Decay, Darkways, Corlyx, Chaos International, and Hinfort, while maintaining a dense touring schedule across Europe and sharing the stage with artists such as Traitrs, Hinfort, Darkways, and Ductape.
The new album When It Rains, set for release on Avant! Records on April 17, 2026, expands The Spoiled’s sound by incorporating elements of electrogaze, indie rock and breakbeat percussions.
Inspiration
The Spoiled have stated that The Soft Moon and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails have been their main source of inspiration. Other influences include Drab Majesty, Slowdive, DIIV, Akira Yamaoka, David Lynch, ThxSoMch, and Mareux.
