Topchikhinsky District (Russian: Топчи́хинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the center of the krai. The area of the district is 3,300 square kilometers (1,300 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Topchikha.[1] Population: 23,350 (2010 census);[3] 27,305 (2002 census);[6] 27,528 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Topchikha accounts for 37.8% of the district's total population.[3]
