Hi I am a research economist ~ in training ~ and am excited to get involved in economics, politics, and geography. I am (increasingly less) new here and welcome feedback! AGF! I like adding in in academic research into Wikipedia articles. I try to cite literature from 2010s to present. Science evolves. Also you should probably read Gender bias on Wikipedia if you want to understand how your contributions to Wikipedia can be massive! Some topics I am working on now include:

A running list of the articles I have created, edited heavily, or brought into GA (I will categorize more specifically soon):

  • Norma Ashe-Watt, now connected to WikiData!
  • Nadia Latif, accepted!
  • Martin Weitzman, request made
  • President of Serbia, currently reviewing to bring to good article status!
  • Phillip's Cave Created English translation for Namibian geographic site of importance, awaiting approval.
  • Fisheries management, expansion of economics information and general improvement to structure.
  • Beveridge Curve, changes to history. going to add the connection to other macro topics too!
  • Phillips Curve, mostly grammar now but will edit more
  • Dirtbag Left, expansion of theoretical subsection.
  • Trader Joe's, added pop culture section!
  • Laura Loomer reviewed citations and removed duplicate original referencess, and new ideological views.
  • Stone Mountain article clean up, update, and expansion to political context
  • Country music article overhaul. Removal of uncited info, removal of irrelevant info.
  • Country rock adding in primary literature and journal sources on the music's origins.
  • Zambian Airways, add a bunch of good citations
  • Alan J. Auerbach, just some random stuff about what he did / grammar / NPOV
  • Homeschooling in the US, total review of citations, convert to NPOV and adding in academic lit - complete overhaul!
  • Cournot competition - an entire re-write to take it out of a historical / political perspective, and into game theory.
  • Macroeconomics - re-did intro, better structure of time scale, need to add in VAR / matching
  • Econometrics - merged in criticism (separate page), need to revamp methods section to reflect Mostly Harmless / Causal Inference Mixtape / Fumio Hayashi textbook b/c its in terrible shape
  • John R. Tyson (businessman) - included personal life, included current position, update to 2025 info
  • Welfare economics - changed explanation, update citations, added in efficiency-equity tradeoff.
  • Louis Mosley - in draft! But I created the article for the Palantir UK CEO
  • Burundi - updates to economy, geography (particularly forests!), and review of citations

thanks for stopping bye, y'all. -Abs145 (talk) Abs145
