I know a decent amount about environmental sciences and U.S. history. My goal is to make sure I avoid any ideological bias in my edits and I appreciate being challenged!

I try to follow a diversity of news sources.
My top sources are:
The New York Times (the paper of record!)
National Public Radio (strong news and cultural programing through a thoughtful, empathetic lens)
AAAS (top-tier scientific news)
Heatmap News (excellent energy & climate news)
Mother Jones (thoughtful investigative work; labor- and environment-focused commentary)
For additional news and analysis, I also trust:
Mainstream sources I read with more caution:
The Washington Post (basically reliable, just a bit sketchy post-Bezos)
CNN (pretty reliable, but very clear liberal bias)
The Guardian (sticks dogmatically to progressive narratives and can be alarmist on climate)
National Geographic (sometimes amazing, sometimes sensationalist; just hit-or-miss)
The Bulwark (interesting, if reflexive, centrist political writing; editorial standards can be lax)
Reason (interesting perspectives but sometimes spreads misinformation)
Good Florida News Sites:
Sites I avoid:
The whacky world of WSJ Opinion
