Kevin Hartke is an American politician serving as the Mayor of Chandler, Arizona. Beginning his term in 2019, he previously served as a member of the Chandler City Council for nine years, starting in 2008 as an interim Councilmember and being subsequently elected permanently in 2011. Additionally, Hartke served as Vice Mayor on two occasions in 2015 and 2017.[1]

In addition mayoral duties, Kevin serves on various regional boards including the Arizona League of Cities and Towns, Maricopa Association of Governments, Greater Phoenix Economic Council, Regional Public Transportation Authority and, Valley Metro light rail.
Early life
Hartke attended the University of Missouri and received a B.A. in agricultural biochemistry as well as an M.A. in theology from the Fuller Theological Seminary. Prior to politics, he served as the lead pastor at Trinity Christian Fellowship.[2]
Political Carrier
Kevin Hartke entered city politics in 2008 when he was appointed as an interim city councilman. He later went on to win consecutive terms and served as a council member for a total of nine years, serving twice as Chandler's Vice Mayor in 2015 and 2017. Kevin ran for the office of Mayor in 2018 and went on to win the election, having ran unopposed.[3]
