I try to take care to go through the AfC process if I'm uncertain about notablility or something about my article.

I've also been getting more involved in other areas of Wikipedia — I review AfC submissions and participate in AfD discussions, both of which have made me a more careful article creator.

The copyvio report does not report a violation, if I understand it correctly, but I've nonetheless rephrased a few sentences to avoid similarity.
• McCarthy meets WP:NACADEMIC 5 as a distinguished professor at a major public university, as well as 1 and 3 as a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics who has published widely cited books and papers on kinematics. If I recall, his age was reported in a news source, so the birth date is approximated. I will dig up the source, or else remove the year.

Ey. URC is the portuguese for the English WP:NFC. We call that "Ultra Restricted Content". The main reason that I'm asking the role is because I don't know exactely how the wizard works here. I'm unable even to see what's next after clicking "upload a non-free file". It's just to be able to view all the boxes and questions in a script which is really working before going to the Test Wiki with a working .js, that I already have for my test page, cause' I do not pretend to upload any file. From what I understand, you could request interface administrator on test.wiki (this seems like a good enough reason for it) and do your tests there, uploading free or even blank files for testing if needed. Hi, my current focus is on the history of Mauritania, as well as topics like the War in the Sahel and the Insurgency in the Maghreb, mainly in French-speaking countries. In that case, you can request the user role on French Wikipedia, which takes place on their administrators' noticeboard. However, this right is generally reserved for editors with at least 300 edits, so this is something to take into consideration before applying. The roles on French and English Wikipedia are separate, and most of the benefits of each are localized to their respective projects. I am writing to kindly request the assignment of the Event Coordinator right on Wikipedia. This permission would be highly beneficial for organizing upcoming events, particularly edit-a-thons and community workshops.

In the past, we have encountered technical challenges related to IP blocks that vary depending on the venue or network being used. These issues have occasionally disrupted participation and made it difficult for new contributors to join our events smoothly. Having Event Coordinator rights would allow me to manage these limitations more effectively and ensure a better experience for participants; hence, if the problem occurs I can just simply create them for the attendees.

Currently, there are no users on the Macedonian Wikipedia with the ability to grant this permission locally, which is why I am reaching out to you for assistance.

Hi @Jtasevski123: those IP blocks can be really annoying. Have you tried using the Dashboard to create new accounts? As far as I'm aware, the same limitations exist for event coordinator and people using the dashboard in terms of creating accounts. That is: it cannot go around account creation blocks. You can create the accounts in advance of course from a non-blocked IP. Even without an event coordinator role, you can create up to 6 accounts per day. Hello again, sometimes when we have educational workshops for new people and they create accounts and are blocked for any reason, I need a tool that will quick-fix that at the moment, so that's why I am referring to it here so I can have an easier time fixing the issues with account creation atm. I have seen people that have account creation power just switch to their mobile hotspot, and no problems accrue with the IPs (some trick to jump around it). I can see that he asked to be signed as Event coordinator, but I think that what he needs is to get Mass account creation (like I have for my alternative account Violetova) which is much practical for in person events with a more than 10 new persons.

I was told that overall my review record was ok but that I had focused more on marking reviewed pages that have already been nominated for AfD by someone else and therefore during this extension, I have tried to stay away from that and put my focus on non-AfD articles (unless I had nominated them myself).

Hello! I am Phlogiston Enthusiast. I would like a moment of your time to request rollback rights. I believe that I could use rollback permissions to assist in anti-vandalism in the recent changes tab. There are multiple reasons for this. For one, it would streamline reverts on articles that need them, and be a useful tool against vandalism. This is because if a user is making edits of a vandalistic nature, they are likely to have made multiple. Rollback would assist with these issues and prevent long and drawn-out revert wars by vandals. Second, I believe that I meet the qualifications for the role. I possess experience patrolling the recent changes section, and have reverted many vandalous edits. If need be, I can attempt to provide a comprehensive list of the articles on which I have combatted vandalism. Finally, I understand that it looks bad to have had two arguments over vandalism-related subjects in the past. However, I would argue that this is almost the opposite, as having a clean record with no mistakes would mean that I had no mistakes to learn from, and as well I have apologized to all parties involved in both. In summary, I believe that I should possess rollback rights as to better combat vandalism, and if need be there can be elaboration. If not, I completely understand.

Ammending: this was written roughly a month ago. I was told that I would need one month's experience more before I should re-apply. I have since aqquired more than this. I have been the cause for scores of blocks and have better since de-vandalized the Wiki. Following my embarrasing mishap recently reguarding confusion over the tool, I have better researched it and now believe I would be more fit to utilize this. I don't see how a lot of these notes are relevant to rollback; pending changes requires some overlapping skills with rollback (such as the ability to effectively determine what is vandalism), but it is an entirely different right for good reason, and does require different skills. 1. I am a recent changes patroller and have been patrolling for a few months now,
2. I have made more than 700 edits in mainspace and more than 1700 edits in total,
3. Since I am already a pending changes reviewer, I am also used to reverting vandalism in some areas where it isn't visible to everyone yet, so I think I am trained for the job,
4. This would allow me to use tools like AntiVandal to revert vandalism easier and faster, for the benefit of Wikipedia as a whole.

Recently I have been facing disruptive editors who have been making edits extremely quickly. For example, HermeneuticMind, who was adding LLM-generated content to articles en masse, and Goldfishgonnabedeadsoon.

I am once again requesting the template editor right. I have met the guidelines for granting, especially number 4, which is that I have had no behavioral blocks or WP:3RR violations for a minimum of six (6) months or more. The main reason why I am requesting the template editor right again is so that I may be able to make productive, meaningful contributions to protected templates such as Module:Gridiron color/data & Module:College color/data that are in line with established WP:CONSENSUS with many other editors. I believe that if granted the template editor right again, I can demonstrate that I will avoid the first criteria for revocation, which is performing obviously controversial edits without first determining WP:CONSENSUS. I'm a bit torn. On the one hand, they have had all but one module edit request accepted (and the other partly done) since their last request in September. On the other hand, I am concerned about these edits; they were rightly made in the sandbox, but only because the /data module is template-protected. This is the same sort of thing that was happening as far back as 2021 and led to their rights being revoked. I also found this which is not the right way to make a dummy edit.

Now, have I done similar things in the past? Sure, I'm pretty sure there are a few from this year even. We shouldn't be expecting perfection out of a TPE, because that is just unrealistic. However, mistakes should be few and far between for a TPE or admin, and not happening often enough to get repeated warnings going back five years. Primefac (talk) 00:08, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
