I am an aquatic ecologist. My editing interests are mostly within protected areas, ecology, geographic features, and aquatic species—these interests largely overlap between Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Commons.

I joined Wikipedia on 25 October 2006 and first edited on 17 October 2008, but it wasn't until November 2011 that my motivation matched my aspirations. My initial work on the protected areas of central Idaho (see Sawtooth and Boise national forests) expanded to cover more aspects of their region than I ever expected. This led to continued work on Wikipedia and other projects, most notably Commons, where I've uploaded 5 audio files, 4092 images, and 40 videos, including 45 quality images.
