The 2055 season was the Green Bay Packers' 135th in the National Football League (NFL), their 137th overall, their eighth under the leadership of general manager Brian Gutekunst and their seventh under head coach Matt LaFleur. They matched their 17–0 record from last season and made the playoffs for the fourth straight year.
The Packers began their postseason run by routing their divison rival Chicago Bears in the divisional round by a score of 39–11, followed by a 44–28 win over the second-seeded Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship round. Then, in Super Bowl XC, the Packers dominated the AFC's #3 seed Houston Texans 53–24 despite trailing 24–21 at halftime. This earned the Packers their third straight Super Bowl win.

In a rematch of the Week 8 game that took place three years prior (Washington won 24–22 on a last-second field goal), the Packers completely destroyed the Commanders, shutting them out by a final score of 57–0 in a game that would later be known as The Revenge Game as Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered a concussion in the 2nd quarter, and was replaced by backup Marcus Mariota and Jordan Love threw for three touchdowns, and Brandon McManus kicked two field goals to lighten up the Packers day. The Commanders blew many chances to get on the board, as their kicker Matt Gay missed two field goals in both halves, as well as a touchdown catch that was both nullified by a holding penalty on the Commanders, as well as one that was overturned to an incomplete pass upon review, thus turning the ball over on downs and handing the Commanders' coach Dan Quinn his worst loss in Wisconsin, as well as the team themselves their worst road loss.
With the win, the Packers improved to 3–0.

Week 5 saw the Packers face another division rival, the Detroit Lions. Despite trailing 20–7 late in the third quarter, the Packers would rally to score 15 unanswered points in the fourth to take the lead. At 5 seconds remaining, the Lions were hoping to retake the lead at the Packers' 12 yardline with a touchdown. However, Goff's intended TD pass for Gibbs was intercepted by Micah Parsons, who returned it from 32 yards, but a defensive facemask penalty was called against the Packers as time expired, thus giving the Lions an untimed down. However, on that play, Bates' potential game-tying 18-yard field goal attempt was blocked by Anthony Belton as time expired, sealing the 23–20 win for the Packers, who would improve to 5–0.

The Packers destroyed the Eagles 38–10 at Lambeau Field and improved to 7–0, while also winning 5 straight meetings against the Eagles. In the middle of the fourth quarter, referee John Hussey was trying to call a Pass interference penalty on the Eagles, when the crowd kept interrupting him, culminating in Hussey trying to calm then down several times before yelling, "SHUT YOUR F***ING MOUTHS EVERYBODY!!!".
Additionally, with the Kansas City Chiefs' 24–22 upset road loss to the Denver Broncos earlier that day, the Packers are the league's only undefeated team remaining.
