Jesper Fast
Early life
He is the only child born to father Niklas and mother Eva, both of whom were athletic.[1]
His father played at the lower levels of Swedish professional hockey and coached in Nässjö. Jesper often accompanied him to the ice and practiced skating.[1]
At age 16, he attended school and learned hockey in the city of Jönköping.[1]
2015–16 season
Jesper Fast was a restricted free agent in 2015, and the Rangers announced on July 15 that they had signed him to a two-year contract worth $1.9 million.[2]
Personal life
He was described by New York Daily News writer Pat Leonard as "shy but hard-working, skilled and respectful".[1]
