From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a list of European windstorms that formed between January 1 and December 31, 2011. All windstorms are named by FU Berlin, and names are donated by the public. At the beginning of the 2011 season, two storms from 2010, Waltraud and Vesna were active. From 12 April to 24 April, there were no storms active due to a persistent high pressure system, that brought record warmth to much of Europe. The strongest storm of the season was Paolini, which formed on 11 February and dissipated on 17 February. It had a minimum central pressure of 936 mbars (29.65 inHg).
