Activities/goals (rough draft/notes)
My editing is focused on expanding/creating "Musical style and influences" sections in articles for all sorts of popular music artists. I am very nostalgic about reading these sorts of sections during the times when I was discovering new music, so my intention is to create that experience for people with similar interests as me, I guess. 90% of what I do is just listing the musical acts that any given artist is ripping off to get their sound, along with quotes from the band members complaining about being categorized in any particular subgenre. I believe in microgenres, but hold the opinion that they are secondary at best, and that mentions of them make for more interesting in-body passages than infobox entries. Before I die, I want to know that I have listened to everything under the sun. I also want to know that I had improved the Wikipedia article of every singe album I have ever listened to more than twice, whether it be substantial content additions, or just minor fixes to established articles such as additional sourcing or making small expansions already-sourced content. Seems like unachievable goal, but I might be forced to go through with it. I just moved back into the city after being gone for a year, and I reeeeally miss the bar scene... but I'm broke as shit, and alcohol destroys my internal systems. I live in my city's downtown area, very close to the bars, but I've gotta stay home and save money. Expanding music-related Wikipedia articles is the only thing on earth that is as fun as going to the bar, I think. So hopefully, this will keep me at home and antisocial. I try to think of every night I spend sitting at home typing on here, as indicitive of an automatic $25 USD hitting my bank account, because that is what I would routinely spend on a normal night at the bar (my usual tab was two IPA's ($5 ea.), two slices of pizza ($3 ea.), and a $7 tip. That shit adds up real fast, but it was worth it. But I stopped going to the bar every night, and I can now afford to live in my own apartment with no roommates, so that's rad. It's just so fucking lonely. It's getting to me. I hope all the staying home and being antisocial pays off and I can afford the things that I want.
Wishes/plans/strategies/notes
Five-year plan
Music gear I NEED, not want: PRS guitars, Jackson guitars, Blackstar amp, Fender amps, Fender Jaguar, Gibson Explorer, Gibson SG, Fender Jazzmaster, Fender Stratocaster, Dean Guitars,
Apartment decor: Tall lamps, LED light strips, tapestries, band flags/posters, lava lamps,
Piercings: septum, belly button, upper lip,
Others: furniture, couches, coffee table (wood + glass), entertainment center,
Clothes/fashion: My aesthetic is as alagamation of midwest emo, headbanger, slacker and maybe goth. 90s death metal band shirts, 80s thrash metal band shirts, black zip-up hoodies, find your black beanies (I guess they are called knit caps), I need to find brown knee-high combat boots for work (wear these with your blue Rockstar skinny jeans after you dye your hair), black knee-high boots for work, more dispensible Converse knockoff shoes, high top variants of this, Skirts: black ruffle skirts, black jean skirts, Tights: black tights, tan tights, purple tights, black dresses, kilts with lace, cargo shorts, cosmetics, eye liner, eyebrow pen and pencils, mascara, nail polish, thigh high stockings, fishnets, panties, black skinny jeans, chokers, checkered belts.
Physical media: All essential 80s and 90s metal (includes both extreme and traditional/heavy) albums -- very embarrassed by what I curretly don't have in my collection, so I'm not saying it publicly. Must complete bare essentials on CD before focusing on any other genre or physical format. Current estimation of number of albums missing: 78
Hair coloring - dye my hair dark brown again, get highlights, experiment with curling iron, get back in habit of hair straighening but don't fry your hair. Also consider doing auburn hair again, that was pretty, but ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO COMMIT TO DOING MAKEUP ALL THE TIME. You cannot be looking like a wuss for any reason. Remember, you only choose Auburn to elevate the greenness of your eyes. Dark brown and black are the safest bets though, always and forever. Never forget that. You may consider calculating how much it may cost to consistently keep dying your hair that dark brown color. You are so unhappy without it, clearly. Fuck the haters. That tears it -- hair dye and trim every six weeks -- full stop. I'll sell my whole CD collection to fund my hair for the year. Or you could just learn how to do it yourself... That'd be cheaper... All I'm really going for is a perhaps slightly darker shade of my natural hair color from when I was 15 (I am 30 now). I don't want to get too crazy, because I want to be able to get hired at a library or a theatre in a much bigger city and get out of the lawncare industry. Can't be distracting if I'm gonna make shitloads of money in life. I have to pretend I'm something I'm not for 8-12 hours per day and make excessive profits for my employers and shareholders if I am ever to get what I want, which is all the frivilous bullshit I listed above.
Hairstyling: Not able to let hair down while working current side job. Need to find ways to make it fun. Get better with using a hair clip. Experiement with different ponytail styles as well. Also, become a master of the bun hairstyle. Insane that I've never bothered learning how to do some of this stuff.
You are breaking out with acne: Basic hygeine that you have been fucking up lately: Showering daily, washing face after plucking facial hairs, washing face with soap in general, changing pillow cases, keeping hair clean (it gets greasy, gets on your face when your sleep, causes breakouts. see your chin and neck. this has to be the reason. Please be better about keeping your hair clean. Hair care = skin care. Buy that really nice shampoo and conditioner again. Try to use small amounts, but more frequently.
Biography

I was a writer before I was anything else in life. I started creating stuff with an obscure PC game called Paint, Write and Play. It just snowballed from there. When I was six years old, I started my very own children's television production studio out of my bedroom. We had several programs I think. When I was in my preteen years, YouTube was introduced, and I discovered Windows Movie Maker and Microsoft Paint. I was finally able to make TV shows for real. Unfortunately, 2006-2008 was just nothing but god awful pop culture reference humor, so my videos did not stand the test of time. I will not share these with my colleagues on this project. You'd all lose respect for me.
My interest in music began at age 13, and I stopped making YouTube videos shortly thereafter. Didn't want to anymore. I started off listening to 90's pop punk and alternative rock like Weezer, Green Day and blink-182. My dad also started me off with stuff like Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden and Metallica during this time. When I got into eighth grade I started getting into trendier bands like Avenged Sevenfold and My Chemical Romance (that was what seemed cool and interesting to me at the time, I stand by it). I "outgrew" that stuff, but now I listen to underground metal, punk rock and alternative music from the 80s and 90s, and I guess I partially owe that to my Warped Tour roots.
