I'm MadGuy7023 – a Wikipedian of some sorts. Long story short, I spotted a simple mistake on an article about one of my favourite subjects, which I decided to correct. Obviously I didn't want my IP address to be shown, so I created my account in order to correct that mistake in what was my very first Wikipedia edit. The choice of username was fairly easy, because I was already using it on YouTube at the time (but sadly not anymore). Anyway, little did I think at the time, that I would go on to edit a few other articles about that subject and also even create an article.

I would also occasionally edit articles about different subjects and also, over time, was trying to learn how to fight vandalism. I was originally using my watchlist for this (out of all things), which as all vandalism fighters will know, is not the greatest thing in the world. However, one day I suddenly discovered the "Recent Changes" page and as one would imagine, it boosted the vandalism fighting significantly. I ended up doing this regularly, while continuing to edit pages on my favourite subject as well. During this time, I did have some odd bumps / encounters (such as finding out what a legal threat is after suddenly receiving one on my very own talk page).

Over the years I have not been the most active Wikipedian in the world due to other things in life taking priority. However, the privilege of being able to edit Wikipedia will always have a place in my heart as a hobby to carry out from time to time.

Anyway, enough of that. Now for the userboxes.
