Alfred Brian Bosworth (21 March 1942 – 22 December 2014) was an English-born Australian historian and classicist specializing in the Hellenistic period and Alexander the Great. He spent most of his career at the University of Western Australia, where he held a personal chair, and is best known for his extensive commentary on Arrian's Anabasis of Alexander and his studies portraying Alexander as a ruthless conquerer in contrast to more views on his heroism.[1][2]
