I am Manoj Karingadathil, a free software activist, archivist, and naturalist based in Kerala, India, with roots in both Thrissur and Payyannur. My native language is Malayalam, but I am curious about other languages. I actively engage with the Wikimedia community to better understand literature and culture.

I am a dedicated volunteer with Swathanthra Malayalam Computing, the Wikimedians of Kerala User Group, and the Sahya Digital Conservation Foundation, where I focus on promoting free software and open knowledge.
As a Admin at Malayalam Wikisource, I coordinate Book digitization projects to preserve and share knowledge. My passion for opendata extends to other projects, including Wikidata and OpenStreetMap, where I am a frequent contributor.
Beyond my work in the Digital Humanitarian world, I am a keen observer of nature. My interest in natural history and biodiversity began with butterflies and birds, but now I strive to learn about and document all living things around me. I am currently focusing on the biodiversity of Local Places and their corresponding Local names as part of the Biodiversity Task Force.
