I believe that many processes for dispute resolution such as third opinion, requests for comment, and the mediation cabal can work better if people who use them as a matter of principle also help with an unrelated dispute using the same process. For instance, say one files a RfC over X. Then it would be very helpful if one can give some useful comment over unrelated topic Y where someone else had filed a separate RfC.
